BuckSlam July Poetry Slam (July 10th)

BuckSlam is the Twin Cities' monthly spoken word poetry competition, hosted every 2nd Wednesday at Moon Palace Books. There's a LOT happening with BuckSlam this month, and we hope you can join us at our July slam on Wed. July 10th!

Firstly, July marks the beginning of our competitive season, meaning poets will start to accumulate points towards our grand slam finals next March. Secondly, we get to celebrate being in our new venue, the glorious Moon Palace Books! July's winner will receive a $25 gift card to Moon Palace (in addition to the much-coveted $1 bill). Finally, this will be a send-off show for the 2024 BuckSlam Poetry Team, who will be reading some of their work on the mic in preparation for their trip to compete at the NorthBeast Poetry Slam in Boston. We've experienced so much growth and change over the past year, and we can't wait to celebrate and share some poetry with y'all! Heard that!

Doors at 6:30pm. Show at 7pm.

*Moon Palace requires masks be worn inside, please respect the venue and take care of each other by following this rule*

ACCESS INFO: Moon Palace is wheelchair and walker accessible and has multiple accessible restrooms. The stage in the performance space is on risers with steps, but the mic can be lowered to floor-level for anyone who needs it.
