Senior Director of Community Engagement at the Loft

Chris Mackenzie Jones is the author of Behind the Book, a book that traces the publishing paths of eleven debut authors. He has worked at the Loft for more than a decade. In his time there, he has met numerous aspiring and successful writers, and he believes that all writers can learn valuable lessons through example, which is why he wrote the book. Chris is also a published poet and received his MFA from the University of Florida in Gainesville.

At the Loft, he works on organizational outreach, media relations, brand management, marketing and promotion, and print/video/Web design and development. He lives in Saint Paul and, despite consistent ridicule, continues to long for year-round winter.
