Hilal Isler
Hilal Isler is the author of the forthcoming short story collection, Har Mar Superstar. She is a recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Jerome, MacDowell, and Yaddo foundations. She is a winner of a 2023 McKnight Fellowship in Creative Prose; a Periplus Collective Fellow; and the 2019 Roxane Gay Writing Fellow with the Jack Jones Literary Arts Association. Her work has appeared in McSweeney’s, The Brooklyn Review, New York Magazine, The Paris Review, LA Review of Books, LitHub, The Rumpus, and Electric Literature online. Her short story, “Scorpion,” published last year in the Baltimore Review, was anthologized in 2023 Best Small Fictions. She lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota, with her family.
