Victoria Blanco
Victoria Blanco's debut book, Out of the Sierra: A Story of Rarámuri Resistance (Coffee House Press, 2024), was a 2025 ALA Notable Book, an Indies Introduce title, a 2024 Booklist Editors' Choice title, and on the longlist for the Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction. She has written for The New York Times, Guernica, and Literary Hub, among others. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities MFA. Originally from the US-Mexico borderlands, Victoria now lives in Minneapolis with her husband and three sons.
