Word Limit: 100,000

What you'll submit: Your manuscript of short, long or book-length essays or memoir. 

What you'll get: I bring a contemplative lens to my work with writers, drawn from nearly twenty years of meditation and a lifetime of creative writing. I offer compassionate, constructive feedback that builds your confidence while giving you practical tools to make your writing shine. 

I’ll review your writing with a focus on big-picture, developmental edits. I’ll look at the overall structure as well as things like image, detail, characterization, and the balance of scene vs. exposition. I’ll comment on the strengths of the manuscript as well as suggestions for revision. 

You’ll receive a review letter of 2-10 pages (depending on the length of the work) and comments in the body of the manuscript, although I will not focus on line-edits, and the majority of the feedback will be given in the letter. 

After you’ve received my feedback, we’ll schedule a half-hour Zoom or phone consultation to answer questions and celebrate the work you’ve done!

Pricing: 

• $300 base price plus 2 cents a word

Turnaround:

• Prose up to 10,000 words: three weeks
• Prose up to 50,000 words: four weeks
• Prose up to 100,000 words: six weeks

Please note that these are only guidelines, and the actual time will depend on your project.
