The Helium Baron's Son: An Experiential Fiction

Erin Kate Ryan
January 29, 2020

Loft teaching artist Erin Kate Ryan presents a special, risky, one-of-a-kind imagination-based literary Happening on February 29. This immersive event, based on one of Erin Kate's short stories, is part escape room, part murder mystery, part literature, part theatre. Experiential fiction knows your phone number, answers you by name, and dares you to intervene.

A Helium Baron -- facing possible hostile takeover, rumors about his family's fitness to lead, and the prolonged global helium shortage -- is inviting you to enter his famous home for the very first time. As either a cater-waiter or a beleaguered shareholder, you'll arrive at his home on the last day of the shortest month with an agenda of your own. In the high-stakes game of global corporate warfare, where helium could either save someone's life or fuel the missile that obliterates a nation, no one is trustworthy. Will you be on the right side of history when all is said and done? What secrets are these storied family members hiding? Is anyone who they seem to be?

Registration is limited. Tickets $20. Deadline is February 15. http://bit.ly/HeliumBaron
