Launch Event for "The Broken Circle" by Barbara Schlichting (Sat., July 27, 2019)

The launch event for The Broken Circle, a novel inspired in part by the Jacob Wetterling mystery, will be held on Sat., July 27, 2019, from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Next Chapter Booksellers (38 Snelling Ave S, St Paul, MN 55105).

Minnesota author Barbara Schlichting's The Broken Circle (First Lady Press of Bemidji, Minn.) is the story of three good friends who are all dealing with major issues in their lives. Nancy is mourning the loss of her one true love, Judy is struggling to overcome issues that have plagued her since childhood, and Sharon is fearful of what will happen if she reveals her true self to the world. When a mutual friend dies, the three come back together for her funeral. Despite their individual struggles, the trio decides the time has come to focus on solving the mystery that has haunted them since childhood. What happened to their friend, Vicky, who disappeared without a trace so many years ago?

Author Barbara Schlichting was born and raised in Minneapolis where her First Ladies Mystery Series is set. Barbara graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1970, and still has many friends here in the Twin Cities. More information can be found at Barbaraschlichting.com.
